At one time these carved vessels were commonly used for wine containers during the Chang Dynasty. This Old Bronze Vase is a reproduction from the antiquities shown at the China History Museum. The handles are carved Phoenix birds and carvings of ancient birds on the body of the vase. The Vase or Urn is heavy and sturdy and would look great as a pair on a mantle or alter.
