These were used in Ancient China to store a user's opium stash and pipe in his "pillow" so no one could steal it at night. This has beautiful leather workmanship with gold dragon designs painted on the lid. Hardware is all solid brass and an old Chinese slip pin lock can be purchased as optional equipment. These make very handsome additions to any office or den for storing everything from candy to tobacco. Inside there is a removable tray that permits two layers of storage.
